PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • GoldTouch Computer Solutions; Louisville, Kentucky
    March 95 to Present
Formed computer software/hardware consulting firm to handle the programming needs of Unidial, inc. Redesigned their call rating system and billing system. Their original system was capable of processing 30,000 calls per hour. My redesigned system currently processes 5,140,000 calls per hour.

  • Lockheed Martin Corporation; Orlando, Florida
    Mar 96 to Present
Invited to help design algorithms for the FBI sponsored Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS), which I helped them win 4 years prior. I designed the original algorithms used to identify features within fingerprint images. These features were then compared to the features of many previously processed fingerprint images in a large repository in order to determine the closest matches. I am currently working on improving the search process so that fewer comparisons will be required to locate the matching fingerprints.

  • Martin Marietta Corporation; Orlando, Florida
    Oct 86 to Mar 95
Image and Signal Processing Engineer. Designed and implemented algorithms for real time target detection, tracking, and classification. Software Task Leader on government sponsored Minefield detection project, Algorithm Task Leader on FBI fingerprint recognition project. Implemented kernel functions for Martin's new Ada compatible parallel processing language.

  • IBM; Charlotte, North Carolina
    Jan 83 to Aug 84
Cooperative Intern ( alternated semesters with school ) Designed and constructed an automated printer communication interface tester. Assisted in the construction of an automated hammer block tester and wrote all the low level driver code for this tester.

  • Henderman Management Services; Louisville, Kentucky
    Sept 84 to May 85
Managed a software design group. Designed and implemented a Hospital Materials Management software package in RPG II. Originally hired as consultant in 1983. Became employee of HMS in September of 1984.

    EDUCATION

University of Louisville, Speed Scientific School of Engineering, Louisville, Kentucky
